Nation's Capital Carnival Glass Club- Imperial
The Nation's Capital Carnival Glass Club was organized in 1964. This plate, commissioned by the founder and president of the club, E. Ward Russell, shows the capitol building in Washington, DC and has the words "Nation's Capital Carnival Glass Club 1964-1969." These 10 1/4 inch plates in amethyst were the precursor of the monument plates also commissioned by E. Ward Russell.

The Nation's Capital Carnival Glass Club was short lived, as Mr. Russell soon felt that there was a need for a club on a national level. Thus, this club soon transitioned into the American Carnival Glass Association.
