Society of Carnival Glass Collectors (SCGC) - Souvenirs
The national Society of Carnival Glass Collectors (SCGC) was organized in 1964. Leslie C. Wolfe of Newman, Illinois and O. Joe Olson were its co-founders. It "was a non-profit society for the mutual interest, convenience and benefit of carnival collectors. The first issue of a quarterly newsletter was mailed in September 1964." The SCGC held its first convention on July 20, 1965 in Kansas City Missouri.

"A second carnival glass society called the American Carnival Glass Association (ACGA) was organized in 1966". Its founding leaders were Rose Presznick, Marshall Shafer and E. Ward Russell.

"In 1967 a third national carnival society, the International Carnival Glass Association (ICGA), was organized at Indianapolis."

"The original society, the SCGC, marked its fifth anniversary in 1969 with a roster of 1,200 carnival families". The society did issue a souvenir in 1970, but it soon disbanded as an association. However, "its newsletter continued as an independent publication covering all carnival glass activity and interests". O. Joe Olson was the editor of this newsletter.
