With an identical name and similar design, this vase is frequently confused with Fenton's version. The most obvious difference is that the ribs continue all the way to the top edge, in contrast to a smooth band around the top of the Fenton pieces. There is only one base size in the Northwood, 3 1/2 inches. Some are marked with the Northwood "N" on the inside bottom. These vases can be found squatty, around 6 to 7 inches tall, or swung, around 9 to 10 inches tall. The tops of these vases are typically ruffled.
