Christmas Plates - L.E. Smith
L.E. Smith produced a series of three plates celebrating Christmas.

The photo, above left, says "Christmas 1971" and it is thought that the man and woman resemble Abraham and Mary Lincoln. This plate is eight inches across.

The plate, above center, says "Christmas 1972" and features an angel playing a horn. It is nine inches across. The 1971 and 1972 plates are only found in amethyst.

The plate, above right, says "Kris Kingle" and features Santa holding a tree encirlced with holly leaves and berries. It is nine inches across. It is not dated and is in blue glass.

The photo to the left shows the Smith mark on the back of the Kris Kringle plate. The other two are also marked.
