Westward Ho - Westmoreland
Gateway Carnival Glass Club Souvenirs

Westmoreland made this goblet in amethyst for Levay Distribution Company in the 1970s. They made some for the Gateway Carnival Glass Club in 1979. Gateway was a club based in St. Louis Missouri. These are marked on the bottom as can be seen in the photo on the right. Notice the Westmoreland mark in the center.

The goblet is 6 1/4 inches tall with a top diameter of 3 1/8 inches. It is made from a three part mould giving it three panels around the cup. The three panels have pictures of a cabin, a bison and an elk in them as shown above.

They also made a crimped 5" compote in blue for Levay using this goblet mould.

In addition to having the goblet made for its 1979 convention, the Gateway Carnival Glass Club (GCGC) had the Quilted Diamond toothpick holder made as its 1979 favor. "GCGC 1979" is etched onto the bottom of these toothpicks.
