Strawberry - Northwood
Only seen on bowls and plates, Northwoods Strawberry has a sprig of strawberries and leaves circling the surface. A similar Northwood design, Wild Strawberry, adds some small blossoms toward the outside edge of the pattern. Strawberry is found mostly (about 60 percent) as pie crust edged, then as ruffled (about 20 percent.) The remaining percentages are stippled versions which are usually more valuable. The blue stippled plate in the center is the only one known. The above stippled ruffled bowl in ice blue is one of the few known--perhaps the only one with a basketweave back. Three rate stippled plates are sold at one auction. Strawberry stippled plate in ice green, possibly only one known sold at the 2015 HOACGA convention auction. Strawberry stippled plate in white, possibly only one known. It too sold at the 2015 HOACGA convention auction. In 2016, another was found at an estate auction. This Strawberry stippled in ice blue plate also sold at the 2015 HOACGA convention auction.
