Little Stars - Millersburg
Millersburg's Little Stars pattern comes in a single shape; a bowl. These bowls then come with one of three different edge treatments; six ruffled, ice cream shaped or 3-in-one. While there is only one primary shape, Millersburg did have four different molds made as these bowls come in four different sizes. This pattern has petals emanating out of a center dot. Within each petal is a vine and at the top of the vine and petal is a flower. Between each petal is a sharply pointed fleur dis lis shape with a six pointed star toward the outside edge.

Mostly found in 7-inch bowls but also in two larger sizes and a rare sauce. Given that there are four different sizes, it can be a challenge to determine which size you are actually looking at. The top row of photos (from left to right) shows a small ruffled sauce in amethyst with six petals; a medium sized ruffled bowl in green with seven petals, and a standard sized ice cream shaped bowl in marigold. The photo to the left shows a large sized ice cream shaped bowl in green. Note the number of petals in each piece.

Mostly found in amethyst, green and marigold. Rare blue examples do come up for sale occasionally.

When trying to determine what size bowl you are dealing with, key items to look for is the number of petals coming out from the center and the general size of the bowl as follows:

1) Small sauces have only six petals and are generally 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches across. These bowls have an approximately 2 5/8 inch base which has 28 rays in it.

2) Medium size bowls have seven petals. They are 7 to 8 inches across. These bowls have an approximately 2 3/4 inch base which has 28 rays in it.

3) Standard size bowls also have seven petals but are 8 to 9 inches across. These bowls have an approximately 3 1/16 inch base which has 36 rays in it.

4) Large bowls have eight petals and are about 10 inches across.
