Horse Medallion - Fenton
The horse design on this pattern was based on the famous painting, Pharoh's Horses, by John Frederick Herring. The pattern is also called Horsehead Medallion. Bowls are found both collar base and with three ball feet. The plate above is in amethyst, a rare color for this pattern. The rosebowl is red.

Shapes include 7-8 inch ruffled, round, ice cream or jack-in-the-pulpit shaped bowls, footed round nut bowls, rosebowls and 7-8 inch plates. All shapes seem to come in a variety of colors.

Above are two rare Horse Medallion bowls in celeste blue. The ruffled bowl sold at the 2012 Heart of America Carnival Glass convention and the JIP bowl sold at the New England convnetion in 2022.
