Cosmos - Dugan | |
This pattern has the flower in the middle with a wreath of leaves around it. Unlike the Millersburg Cosmos pattern, which is found only in green bowls 6 to 7 inches across, this one is found mostly in 8 1/2 or 9 1/2 inch bowls and occasional chop plates flattened from the larger bowls. All pieces have a sawtooth edge.
The bowls are found in two sizes. The blue bowl above to the left is about 9 1/2 inches across. It has a collar base that is 3 3/4 inches across. The marigold bowl is about 8 1/2 inches across and has a collar base that is only 2 5/8 inches across. The larger bowls are typically found with 6, 8 or 10 ruffles. The smaller bowls have 10 ruffles and 18 subtle panels. The smaller bowls have more heavily veined leaves and sharper edged petals on the flowers than the larger bowls. |

Large bowls are found in amethyst, blue, marigold and a rare oxblood. The smaller bowls have only been found in marigold. Chops plates are known in amethyst and marigold. |
