Big Thistle - Millersburg
There are only two known examples of this punch bowl and base, both in amethyst. The one pictured to the left has the sides of the bowl going straight up. The other, pictured in the two photos below, has the sides of the bowl flared out. These two photos are courtesy of Matthew Wroda Auctions. Also known is a cracked bowl missing a base. No punch cups are known to exist.

The pattern consists of large thistle blooms and leaves encircling the inside of the bowl. The exterior of both the bowl and the base have wide flutes that end in scallops.
