Bicentennial (Square) Toothpicks - St Clair
The square bicentennial toothpicks were made by Joe St. Clair and came in several different versions not including colors. Colors are predominantly blue but they can also be found in green, light green, ice blue, red and white. Each toothpick has four side portraits around the piece with a scalloped top and bottom. Each one is marked "Joe St. Clair" on the bottom. By having different portraits, we get the several different versions. The portraits of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford place production around 1974.

After the death of Elizabeth Degenhart and the sale of her glass company to Boyd, the new Degenhart Museum opened. The museum featured her significant paperweight collection among other things. The museum had a gift shop and a square toothpick holder was made for sale there. This toothpick featured her likeness on all four sides and the bottom had a unique mark including Degenhart's "D" in a Heart.

Two carnival glass clubs used the toothpick as a club souvenir; The Hoosier Carnival Glass Association (HCGA) and Lincolnland Carnival Glass Club. Both these club pieces are dated 1976.
